Truck Lining & Scrolling – Traditional Truck Signage – Hand painted Pinstriping

I was asked to travel out to East Gippsland to lay down some traditional hand brushed lines, pinstriping, scrolls and door lettering onto this lovely restored 1977 White Road Commander truck. I was shown a grainy old photo of the original design which was taken when the truck was new as I had to match the signage as it was back then. Again the job went very well and the end result is always pleasing to see. I had a great time doing this style of “old skool” signage work which was all handpainted and brushed and even after 33 years in the signage industry it is always extremely rewarding work for myself as there are fewer traditional “signpainters” around nowadays keeping this trade alive.

Traditional handpainted truck signage is not for every signwriter, some just do not have the patience or the skill to bring the best look out in a truck. I love this style of work and look forward to the challenge each time I start a new job and lay down the paint bruh on a bare truck cabin, then given the opportunity to make it look lovely for many years to come.
